Translation?[edit]

I have seen three translations for the word name 'Oklahoma': Asgaya gigagei (an obvious reference to the god of thunder), tsi-ya-hi (from https://www.manataka.org/page124.html), and Ogalahomi (ᎣᎦᎳᎰᎹ). Which is it, or are they each correct in a specific context/dialect?--Daydreamer302000 (talk) 17:09, 16 ᏚᏂᏅᏗ 2018 (UTC)

I think the most common term will be Ogalahomi, while Asgaya gigagei would be more poetic. It's safe to assume that Tsiyahi is wrong. As you can see, the row above that, New York is translated "Ogalahomi", while Natchey Town (one row higher) is translated "nv-ya-gi" (which resembles New York), so I wouldn't trust that site too much. --Ooswesthoesbes (talk) 08:23, 17 ᏚᏂᏅᏗ 2018 (UTC)
